    The Role

    As the Web and Growth Product Manager on our venture team at a16z, you will have the exciting opportunity to develop and manage our analytics and general web strategy. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in working with vertical marketing leads, editors and design, and outsourced engineering teams on various marketing and content projects, ensuring effective implementation and reporting.

    This role demands a strategic thinker with deep subject matter expertise in UX, SEO, specific metrics tooling and software, and driving people through the complete marketing funnel. As part of a cross-functional team, you will bring a strategic mindset in building partnership with key stakeholders and be able to navigate a fast-moving and complex organization. By doing this, you will have a firmwide impact in driving website traffic, engagement, and overall growth.

    • Develop, propose, and execute a roadmap for website strategy management in alignment with a16z's goals and objectives
    • Collaborate with vertical marketing leads and editors to support ongoing marketing and content initiatives, and assist in the implementation and performance tracking of these projects
    • Define, monitor, and analyze key website performance metrics to track user engagement and make data-driven decisions to enhance product performance
    • Work with outsourced engineering teams to implement specific marketing and content projects
    • Develop mechanisms for reporting back key learnings to stakeholders, tracking progress against goals, and providing insights for improvement
    • Stay abreast of new software and tools to ensure a16z website features and functionalities meet changing market and user demands
    • Train internal teams on new metrics and reporting tools, and/or produce training documentation in the form of videos, FAQs, internal wikis, etc.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field
    • Minimum of 7 years as a Web Product Manager, Web Producer, or similar role
    • Strong understanding of web analytics and content management systems
    • Experience working with outsourced engineering teams and managing web-based projects
    • Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, executive presence, presentation skills, and high attention to detail
    • Proven ability to self-start, operate autonomously, manage multiple priorities, independently contribute, ability to deal with ambiguity, and execute consistently in a dynamic environment
    • Low ego, high empathy, and the capacity to collaborate effectively with diverse teams

    The anticipated salary range for this role is between $234,000-$273,000, actual starting pay may vary based on a range of factors which can include experience, skills, and scope.

    This role is eligible to participate in the a16z carry program and various discretionary bonus programs as well as benefit and perquisite plans including health, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401K plan, vacation, and sick leave.
