Web Security Administrator jobs in Albuquerque, NM

Under general direction, develops web-based applications and websites; maintains and supports existing systems; converts existing systems to new design and formats; incorporates web interface for inquiry and updates; maintains County databases and provides support for various systems and applications; and performs other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field and two years of experience in web design, web-based application design, and SQL database management that includes experience working with WordPress, dot.NET and/or JAVA, or Apache Tomcat; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. 

• Valid New Mexico driver’s license or ability to obtain a valid New Mexico driver’s license within 30 days of hire.

• Builds applications and websites for provided content and applications. 
• Collaborates with departments to ensure appropriate and accurate information and content is displayed on websites and social media; may create images, text, and other content for social media platforms; ensures applicable coding standards and content/link accuracy.
• May work with vendors to build and develop new internet and intranet sites.
• Performs testing of web applications to ensure proper functioning; and researches and reviews procedures.
• Establishes the needs of users and monitors user access and security; trains end-users on applications.
• Develops database driven Web interfaces for ease of use and information sharing; and monitors and makes database design modifications as necessary.
• Develops, implements, tests and maintains an effective data backup system.
• Serves as a technical resource to department and County staff for the purpose of providing information and/or advice regarding current or planned activities.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
