Web Security Administrator develops, implements, and maintains firewall technologies that secure an organization's website. Defines network security issues, develops plans and procedures, and ensures safety and privacy of their newly developed internet and intranet sites. Being a Web Security Administrator creates, modifies and deletes user profiles and other access controls. Reviews security logs and violation reports. Additionally, Web Security Administrator requires a bachelor's degree in a related area. Typically reports to a manager. Responsibilities:
- Patrol and monitor premises regularly to maintain a safe and secure environment
- Enforce security policies and procedures to prevent unauthorized access
- Respond to alarms and incidents promptly, taking appropriate action as necessary
- Conduct regular surveillance of the premises using CCTV systems
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors and addressing their inquiries or concerns
- Complete detailed reports on incidents, observations, and activities during shifts
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary
- Monitor and control access points, ensuring only authorized personnel enter the premises
- Perform regular inspections to identify potential security risks or hazards
- Conduct investigations into security breaches or incidents
Skills:
- Conflict management: Ability to handle conflicts or difficult situations calmly and professionally
- Loss prevention: Knowledge of techniques to prevent theft, vandalism, or other losses
- Surveillance: Proficient in monitoring and observing activities using surveillance equipment
- CPR: Certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for emergency response situations
- CCTV: Familiarity with closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems for monitoring purposes
- First aid: Knowledge of basic first aid procedures to provide immediate medical assistance if needed
- Law enforcement: Understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and procedures related to security operations
Note: Prior experience in a security-related role is preferred but not required. Training will be provided.
