    We are seeking a skilled and experienced  Building Safety Administrator to join our team. This position is in the New York City area.

    Starting Salary $85,000.00 Annually 

    Job Skills / Requirements

    Essential Job Responsibilities:

    • Manage and train a team of Security Officers, and Fire Life Safety Director evaluate the effectiveness of these individuals in carrying out required client and Unity Building Security objectives, including completion of all onsite training in a timely matter. Responsible for performance of all security staff and Building Starters
    • Manage and schedules building Starters.
    • Training Security Staff, Building Starters and OSHA training for Janitorial Staff.
    • Work directly with client at all levels to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
    • Develop and maintain schedules at the client location and schedule staff to ensure all posts are filled and contract requirements are met.
    • Provide recommendations for improvements.
    • Provide reports to Unity Building Security regarding operational issues and updates.
    • Facilitate payroll.
    • Physically check turnstiles, ensure they are functioning. Liaison between the vendor for service and repairs.
    • Liaison between the vendor Fire Alarm monitoring station and Manage repairs Fire Command Station.
    • Create reports of Building Occupancy, ID card use for tenants, access lists for tenants.
    • CCTV, review, and record video, prepare video during and after hours when necessary.
    • Training tenant fire teams/ fire extinguisher inspections monthly
    • Review procedures, fire teams, fire drills, review of Emergency Action Plan.
    • Facilitate training fire teams, fire brigade, FLSD refresher.
    • Notification to management any out of the ordinary event or issue.
    • Develop and maintain post orders (job responsibilities) for each post.

    NYS Security Guard License
    FDNY CoF F-89 Fire Life Safety Director
    2 Years Supervisory Leadership Experience

    • Ability to meet strict deadlines.
    • Knowledge of the practices, methods and techniques involved in protecting and safeguarding against theft, vandalism, and disruptive, violent, illegal actions along with de-escalation techniques and Active Shooter awareness.
    • Knowledge of building security rules, regulations, procedures.
    • Ability to demonstrate skill at crowd control.
    • Ability to act courteously, tactfully, and firmly with respect for diversity in any/all personalities and behavioral conduct.

    • Knowledge of fire system panel.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • 5 years’ leadership experience
    • Strong customer service skills, excellent communication skills and experience in client relations
    • NYS Security Guard
    • Must obtain and maintain the required Fire Safety Certificates within three (3) months of hire. CoF F 89
    • Strong preference for candidates with a bachelor’s degree.
    • FLSD CoF F-89 is a Plus.
    • Prior Law Enforcement/ FDNY/ or Military Rank E7 or above is preferable.
    • Must take FDNY FLSD Director course. and successfully pass FDNY onsite.
    • Must Obtain and Maintain a NYS Security Guard License during course of employment.
    • Spearhead monthly inspections in partnership with the facilities team to monitor the maintenance of fire suppression systems, alarms, and emergency exits.
