Web Software Developer designs and develops software solutions for websites and mobile applications that engage users and meet business requirements. Supports web administrators and designers through the full development lifecycle and contributes to the development of new site features. Being a Web Software Developer develops, implements, and debugs software code. Designs and develops the web infrastructure including back-end database development and the construction of SQL queries via CGI scripting. Additionally, Web Software Developer requires knowledge of web technologies and tools such as CSS, JavaScript, HTML, PERL, PHP, Active Server Pages, SQL, and C++. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a project leader or manager. The Web Software Developer occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.   • Job Responsibilities

    • Initiates and maintains ongoing personal contacts with a variety of business and industry representatives
    • Makes cold calls to potential employers in person and via phone
    • Explains the benefits and the employment support services provided by programs to employers
    • Researches the Internet, newspapers, agencies, and other resources for job leads
    • Collects data from employers related to job requirements and skills
    • Match job skills with applicant qualifications
    • Conduct necessary follow-up when applicants are placed in positions
    • Remain updated regarding job fairs and Internet resources
    • Attend local job fairs and recruitment activities
    • Assists consumers in assessing their job skills for positions
    • Leads job seeking procedures including filling out applications, resume writing, interview preparation and job retention skills and attitudes
    • Arranges for interviews
    • Monitors participant performance on the job and counsels participants when job performance is not satisfactory
    • Maintains contact with employers during the consumer's employment and reports results to appropriate management
    • Works with consumers to improve job performance and gain necessary job skills or reviews other employment options
    • Prepares forms and reports related to placement activities
    • Tracks consumer activity and progress data
    • Train consumer to advocate and solve their own problems on the job, appropriate behaviors

    Job Expectations

    • Participates in face to face meetings with vocational rehabilitation counselors at least once a month to coordinate services for clients
    • Expected to work 40 hrs. Weekly Monday-Friday.
    • Responsible for a minimum of 2 job hires per month
    • Provides timely interventions. Returns phone calls and reacts to situations in a timely manner. For example, returns client phone calls within 24 hours. Goes to see employers about job loss or job problems within 24 hours.
    • Maintain confidential files containing required information for clients served.
    • Employee must chart all time worked accurately.
    • Complete and submit required reports, forms and documents on time. i.e. completing all client documentation, including weekly and monthly progress notes.
    • Advise supervisor of problems/difficulties

    Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    • Associates Degree or experience in mental health, social services, human resources or business
    • Must have a valid Alabama Driver’s License, acceptable driving record and automobile insurance.
    • Excellent communication and written skills.
    • Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
    • Flexible work schedule.
    • Willingness to perform a variety of either “blue collar” or “white collar” job tasks.
    • Knowledge of appropriate work ethic and the world of work.
