Web Software Developer, Sr. designs and develops software solutions for websites and mobile applications that engage users and meet business requirements. Supports web administrators and designers through the full development lifecycle and contributes to the development of new site features. Being a Web Software Developer, Sr. develops, implements, and debugs software code. Designs and develops the web infrastructure including back-end database development and the construction of SQL queries via CGI scripting. Additionally, Web Software Developer, Sr. requires knowledge of web technologies and tools such as CSS, JavaScript, HTML, PERL, PHP, Active Server Pages, SQL, and C++. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a project leader or manager. The Web Software Developer, Sr. work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. In your role as a Mid-level Embedded Software Developer, you will be responsible for the Development, Maintenance and Testing of Real-time embedded software for the Air Surveillance Radar-9 (ASR-9) that supports the National Air Space (NAS).
You will also be responsible for the following:
o Troubleshooting, optimizing, coding, reviewing and debugging source code
o Testing embedded real-time computer systems
o Writing procedures and other required documentation
o Validating and integrating new designs with the complex systems
o Working with PL/M-86 compiler
Qualifications:
- B.S. in Computer Science or Math (or another technical field with at least 30 hours of math/stats and/or computer science) and 7 years of experience or
Master’s Degree in any field of study with a minimum of (30) semesters hours in a combination of statistics, mathematics and 5 years of related work experience in a computer science or math field.
- Technical proficiency of the following:
o C/C (High proficiency required)
o PL/M-86 compiler
o Linux (High proficiency required)
- Able to clearly communicate technical issues with non-technical personnel, follow directions, manage time efficiently, think outside the box and meet organizational deadlines
- This position requires for work to be performed at the William J Hughes Technical Center in New Jersey and may require occasional travel all around the US when scheduling dictates or at management discretion.
