Your Role As a HealthStreamer
Position Summary
This role is located in Nashville, TN and requires 3 days a week in our Capitol View office as a part of our hybrid workplace policy.
Design, develop, and maintain the software products offered by HealthStream in accordance with technology best practices and product offerings. Work with team leaders and product managers to understand and refine requirements. Train and mentor junior development staff in technology best practices and product requirements. Design and estimate effort of new features or sub-systems from business concept to detailed technical design. Develop quality, defect free software that adheres to company coding and documentation standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
You will be responsible for adhering to all HeathStream security policies, procedures, and assigned training.
This position is a non-management development position. Developers in this position will participate as members of a software development team and will have individual project leadership responsibilities across the spectrum of software development for a particular HealthStream product or serve as development lead for a HealthStream software development team under guidance of a more senior developer.
What You Will Need to be Successful
Education, Experience and Knowledge Required
A Bachelors Degree in Computer Science is required.
3-5 years' experience/knowledge with each of the following: web-based applications using .NET (MVC/WebForms/Core), C#, Microsoft SQL Server, Javascript, HTML/CSS, Angular JS, jQuery.
Experience with each of the following is preferred: Azure Dev Ops, Visual Studio
SQL querying and performance tuning
DevOps practices and automation
SOLID Development Principles
Object-oriented Design Patterns
Code refactoring
Agile project management experience required, ideally focused on SCRUM or Kanban
Skills and Abilities Required
Must have strong logic skills, be able to handle multiple priorities simultaneously; and demonstrate well-developed problem-solving skills.
Must demonstrate excellent time-management, prioritization, attention to detail and organization skills.
Must have the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies rapidly.
Must be able to consistently meet established project deadlines.
Must be able to work independently with limited supervision, and as part of a team.
Must have the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with other team members.
