Web Software Developer, Sr. designs and develops software solutions for websites and mobile applications that engage users and meet business requirements. Supports web administrators and designers through the full development lifecycle and contributes to the development of new site features. Being a Web Software Developer, Sr. develops, implements, and debugs software code. Designs and develops the web infrastructure including back-end database development and the construction of SQL queries via CGI scripting. Additionally, Web Software Developer, Sr. requires knowledge of web technologies and tools such as CSS, JavaScript, HTML, PERL, PHP, Active Server Pages, SQL, and C++. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a project leader or manager. The Web Software Developer, Sr. work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project.     • The developer must have experience building web frontends in modern web frameworks (e.g., Angular, Backbone, and React.js)
    • The Developer must have Backend Web Development experience that includes at least two (2) years of FTE experience developing and deploying backend web applications in an agile environment on one (1) or more digital service project.
    • The developer must have experience with writing the backends of modern open source web applications
    • The developer must have experience with developing backend web applications that integrate with relational and non-relational database systems
     
    Desired Skills:
    • The Developer should have Frontend Web Development experience that includes developing, maintaining and executing unit, integration and functional tests.
    • The Developer should have Frontend Web Development experience that includes Web security frameworks (e.g. OAuth 2, JWT, OWASP)
    • The Developer should have Frontend Web Development experience that includes Web security protocols (e.g. HTTPS, SSL, TLS, SAML, SOAP, X.509)
    • The Developer should have Backend Web Development experience that includes handling large data sets and scaling their storage
