REPORTS TO: Director of Communications and Social Media
GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES: The Website and Social Media
Manager serves as the steward to drive engagement and influence the MUSD story
through purposeful communication, marketing, and advertising plans. The role will
develop and analyze content on the district website and social media channels to
ensure alignment with the District’s strategic plan and the Communication
Department’s goals and communication plan. This includes developing and
managing all official social media pages for schools and departments, developing
content for and performing regular audits on the district website, and developing
digital marketing strategies to promote the district.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
? Managing and updating the district website to ensure accurate and timely
information.
? Creating and maintaining official social media accounts for all schools and
departments
? Developing content calendars and strategies to enhance engagement.
? Collaborating with various departments to gather relevant content.
? Monitoring and responding to online inquiries and comments.
? Analyzing data and metrics to measure the success of online initiatives.
? Collaborating with the communications team to develop event promotion
strategies.
? Creating engaging content for digital platforms to highlight district events.
? Collaborating with the communications team to develop comprehensive
event plans.
? Coordinating logistics for event set up, ensuring a smooth and organized
execution.
? Providing on-site oversight during events to address any unforeseen issues.
? Integrating event highlights into digital platforms for wider community
visibility.

Webmaster & Social Media Manager
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
? A bachelor’s degree in Digital Communications, Marketing, or a related field
is preferred. Alternatively, a combination of relevant experience and
education (i.e., certifications) will be considered.
? Experience in promoting K-12 Education is preferred.
? One year of professional website management and social media experience
is required.
? Demonstrated social media experience across platforms including
Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, NextDoor, and TikTok.
? Proficiency in digital marketing strategies, including SEO, Pay-per-click
advertising, Content Marketing, Social media marketing, and video
marketing.
? Familiarity with web accessibility standards, specifically ADA compliance.
? Experience with Adobe Creative Suite or desktop publishing programs like
Canva is desired.
Able to perform the following physical requirements of the position with or without
reasonable accommodation: critical sensory requirements include general vision,
corrected to 20/20, hear or listen in the normal range (corrected) and speak and
give directions clearly. Able to walk, sit, stand, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, lift
(exerting force up to 50 pounds).
