This position is involved in all technical aspects related to the development and maintenance of databases, systems, processes, and methods for the Police Accountability Board. This position also functions as the Webmaster for the Police Accountability Board, supporting web content and web-based platforms for the Board. This position is responsible for partnering with the City’s Information Technology Department in planning, managing, and coordinating the computing activity and information systems of the Police Accountability Board.
Evaluates existing information systems and computing resources to provide the Board with a comprehensive information resource and management system;
Creates, develops, and maintains websites, web pages, and web applications for the Board using web development programs, graphics software, and programming tools and languages;
Evaluates software packages, database systems, and hardware available on market to determine appropriate selection and recommend and justify purchases;
Programs/configures new or enhancements to existing database and automation solutions;
Resolves user problems within assigned application systems area of responsibility;
Coordinates with the Information Technology Department to ensure all of the Board’s information systems needs are met;
Interacts with vendors, to describe and explain Board needs and expectations, solve problems, obtain desired upgrades, or develop new programs;
Serves as i-Sight/CaseIQ Case Management Super User;
May supervise work activities of Board staff;
Occasional participation in PAB community engagement efforts as and when required.
