Website Manager manages the day-to-day administration and maintenance of the organization's websites. Oversees changes in the site's technical architecture to ensure that the website remains responsive and stable. Being a Website Manager manages the maintenance and troubleshooting of related hardware and software and ensures that web administrators comply with established standards and specifications. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in a related area. Additionally, Website Manager typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Website Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Website Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     POSITION SUMMARY

    The Manager, Website & SEO/SEM is responsible for managing and optimizing the company's digital marketing communication channels, implementing SEO strategies to increase online presence, and overseeing the functionality and effectiveness of the company's website. 

     

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Develop and implement effective SEO strategies to improve website traffic and rankings on search engines like Google, Bing, etc.
    • Conduct keyword research to identify relevant keywords and phrases to target in website content.
    • Optimize website content, including landing pages, blog posts, product descriptions, and other pages, for targeted keywords and phrases.
    • Monitor and analyze website traffic, rankings, and conversion rates to identify areas for improvement.
    • Work with content creators, web developers, and other team members to ensure that website content is optimized for SEO.
    • Work with Digital Innovation team to incorporate the latest technology such as ChatGPT to website design to improve overall user experience.
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in SEO and search engine marketing (SEM).
    • Conduct regular audits of website content and structure to ensure that it is optimized for search engines.
    • Develop and implement link building strategies to improve website authority and rankings.
    • Collaborate with other teams, including category managers, sales, and channel marketing, to ensure that SEO strategies align with overall business objectives.
    • Use analytics tools to track and report on website and other digital marketing platforms performance and make recommendations for improvements.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    This position does not have immediate supervisory role yet. It will be required to supervise subordinates when the team expands as the business continues to grow.  Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; career planning for the team and addressing complaints and resolving problems and etc.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS

     REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS and EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field is required. Master’s degree is highly preferred. 
    • Must have 5 years of work experience in SEO/SEM and website development management.  Combined experience includes managing website development, search engine optimization, pay-per-click advertising, and other digital marketing campaigns.
    • Proficiency in website analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, is essential.  Knowledge of website development, content management systems, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other relevant technical skills is required. 
    • Professional certifications in SEO, SEM, and website management, such as Google AdWords, Google Analytics and HubSpot is preferred.
    • Demonstrate strong understanding of marketing principles and strategies is required, including but not limited to branding, market research, customer segmentation, and marketing analytics.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are important for collaborating with other team members, managing projects, and communicating with agencies.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data, monitor website performance, and identify areas for improvement.
    • Strong strategic and analytical thinking with solid “CAN-DO” attitude. 
    • Pursue innovation and change with a mindset of continuous improvement.
    • Ability to work within an integrated operating enterprise, coach peers and teams in executing complex programs, deal with ambiguity and conflict management.

    •  Willing to travel as needed. This position requires up to 25% travel; most travel is outside the local area and overnight. Some of the travel may be international.

    LANGUAGE SKILLS

    • The individual must be fluent in English
    • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills; ability to communicate clearly, accurately and with impact.
    • Fluency in Chinese (verbal and written) is a plus.

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

    • Must be able to apply statistical & mathematical concepts to perform all related activities.
    • Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
    • Must be able to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and draw and interpret bar graphs.
