The Website Coordinator will manage and grow our company’s brands and presence on digital platforms, further develop our online following and presence and support existing digital marketing campaigns from the standpoint of the web destinations to which we are driving traffic. This is a full-time position dedicated to the promotion of United Supermarkets, Market Street, Amigos, Albertsons Market, United Express, and Praters across retail websites, search engine listings, owned blogs, and The United Family’s corporate website. The ideal candidate will have experience building CMS webpages, publishing blogs, manipulating images, and customizing CSS.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and make updates to the company’s retail brand websites, including, but not limited to main page content, recipes, content marketing landing pages, blogs and photos or graphics
- Create campaign landing pages using provided content and graphics
- Maintain clean linking structures, redirect URLs, and backlinks
- Migrate and repurpose existing blog and marketing content
- Assist with SEO improvements on the company’s multiple websites
- Maintain accurate listings across all directory services (Google My Business, Yahoo, Bing, Yelp, Facebook, etc...) by leveraging the central management opportunities in Yext.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports to update staff, management and executive team on website and blog traffic.
- Analyze website and blog traffic and audience performance and provide recommendations and plans for enhancing our sites and blogs.
- Build relationships with and work closely with public relations, community relations, corporate marketing, merchandising, operations, IT and business partners
- Maintain open communication and regular updates with team and management
- Perform other duties as requested or required by management
Key Requirements:
- College degree or related business experience in Digital Media, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in website management and/or blogging for an established brand.
- Functional knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript required
- CMS experience with platforms like WordPress or Orchard
- Experience in preparing, reviewing, editing, and publishing rich media web content and inbound marketing conversion-focused content.
- Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator in particular)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Forms, Slides) with working knowledge of other related software and office equipment
- Must possess the ability to learn, evaluate and gain intimate knowledge of website and blogs as it relates to marketing at United Supermarkets
- Demonstrate creativity, dedication, and documented immersion in website and blog management
- Have excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to move projects, communicate ideas in a busy organization and successfully interact directly with customers and members of the community in a public forum
- Experience coordinating and balancing content calendars, including the build, proof, and publishing deadlines for web and blog content
- Desire to work in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to work non-traditional hours when needed
- Ability to think creatively and strategically in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing to meet deadlines
- Self-starter with strong organizational skills; ability to seek out, identify and take advantage of opportunities with minimal supervision
- Explicit attention to detail; creativity and resourcefulness
- Digital image and video publishing experience is desired
- Ability to accept supervisory coaching related to performance, work habits, and attitude.
