Welder joins, fabricates, and repairs metal and other weldable material by applying appropriate welding techniques. Interprets blueprints, specifications, diagrams or schematics to determine appropriate welding process. Being a Welder inspects completed welds to determine structural soundness. Familiar with and complies with all safety requirements and protocols for working in a hazardous environment. Additionally, Welder may prepare the materials and set up for a welding device or robot. May be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Welder works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job.     Your main Tasks: 

    • Be safe! Safety is our #1 priority.
    • Experience operating manual welding equipment using processes such as, TIG, STICK, and MIG welding.
    • Reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings.
    • Hammer, grind, and chip pieces to ensure all parts are properly assembled and alter dimensions to fit specifications.
    • Work with multiple types of pipe and fitting materials such as PVC, Copper, and other types of fusion plastics.
    • Experience with high-pressure piping systems and equipment.
    • Lay out installs, modifications, and repairs of various piping systems.
    • Measure, cut, bend, and thread pipe according to specifications.
    • Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments.
    • Gas metal, flux-cored, shielded, and submerged arcs.
    • Welds must pass pressure and X-ray testing.
    • Working knowledge of both hand and power tools.

    Experience or Certification needed: 

    • 1 years of Commercial/Industrial Welding or Pipefitting experience.
    • Trade school can replace experience.
    • OSHA 10 preferred.

    You need to be able to: 

    • Keep it a Drug-free Workplace. 
    • Be punctual and reliable. 
    • Work in extremes of heat, cold and bad weather, indoors and outdoors. 
    • Stand and walk throughout the workday, and lift/carry up to 60 lbs. 
    • Work efficiently in confined spaces. 
    • Work reaching above shoulders, crawling, squatting, kneeling, bending.
