Wellness Program Administrator assists in the administration of wellness programs and activities designed to improve employee health and wellbeing. Recommends changes and/or additions to programs that reflect the changing needs of employees. Being a Wellness Program Administrator creates employee communications that encourage participation in wellness activities and health screening programs. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Additionally, Wellness Program Administrator typically reports to a supervisor. The Wellness Program Administrator occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.   • Health Program Specialist I – Outbreak Coordinator

    This is a full-time contract position in Carson City with the Nevada Division of Public and Behavioral Health’s Immunization Section. Work will be performed in Carson City.

    · Monday – Friday; 8am – 5pm

    · 40 hours per week

    · Must have reliable mode of transportation

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a health science, behavioral science or closely related field applicable to the program area and two years of health-related experience which included researching, collecting, and analyzing data and statistics, developing objectives, protocols, and procedures, providing health education services to target groups or the general public, and/or investigation and prevention of communicable or chronic diseases; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

    ENTRY LEVEL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (required upon applying)

    Must know how to use a computer, operate Microsoft Office products. Must have the ability to receive, review and process a variety of documents according to established guidelines, policies, regulations and timelines.

    Duties

    · Coordinate and conduct outbreak response vaccine planning activities;

    · Serve as lead point of contact for information sharing with stakeholders on outbreak response activities;

    · Collect and assess NV WebIZ vaccine coverage data to identify areas at risk for an outbreak;

    · Other duties as assigned
