Wellness Program Administrator assists in the administration of wellness programs and activities designed to improve employee health and wellbeing. Recommends changes and/or additions to programs that reflect the changing needs of employees. Being a Wellness Program Administrator creates employee communications that encourage participation in wellness activities and health screening programs. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Additionally, Wellness Program Administrator typically reports to a supervisor. The position’s primary focus is on coordinating programs for people with spinal cord injury, family caregivers, and hired assistants. Program elements include hands-on training, remote consultation with experts, and education and peer support efforts.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
· Conduct outreach — via phone, email, social media, and remote and/or in-person presentations — to the SCI community, family caregivers, and home health professionals to raise awareness of program offerings; receive and track referrals to programs.
· Coordinate all logistical aspects of program implementation, including scheduling personnel, reserving space, acquiring equipment and supplies, facilitating travel arrangements, and processing payments.
· Conduct intake process with potential program participants, involving completion of documentation and an interview to assess needs.
· Coordinate and/or implement program and research team schedules, support services, and follow-up surveys/interviews.
· Contribute to the creation of documents and processes needed for program implementation and to the development of evaluation reports and materials to aid program publicity efforts.
· Maintain databases related to program implementation.
· Assist in preparation of data and reports.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s and/or master's degree(s) in a health-related discipline (such as social work, nursing, behavioral science, social science, public health, occupational therapy, physical therapy, rehabilitation counseling, psychology).
· Minimum of two years of experience in related field, such as social work, case management, nursing, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and/or rehabilitation counseling.
· Strong communication (verbal and written) skills.
· Ability to build rapport and effectively collaborate with program participants, research staff, and clinical staff.
· Effective presentation skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe.
· Experience working in a medical environment and/or working with persons with disabilities.
Preferred qualifications:
· Fluency in Spanish.
· Five or more years of related experience.
· Prior experience with individuals with spinal cord injury.
