    Detailed Job Description
    • Create grant proposals and manage the portfolio of open grant projects as well as upcoming grant projects. Manage relationships with funding agencies, and lead the development and management of relationships with international partners outside of RIT, and with internal partners such as the Simone Center as appropriate. Act as liaison with Sponsored Programs Accounting to ensure compliance with institutional and sponsor policies. Manage all consultant contracts and subcontracts.
    • Create/Maintain/Grow partnerships with other organizations and universities to showcase RIT and our research capabilities. These partnerships will support existing grants and will help win new grants. Initially, this will specifically include growing the partnership with the U.S. Department of State to build an alliance with other organizations, universities, business incubators, and other training and educational entities across southeast Asia to facilitate the development of competitive circular-economy businesses.
    • Manage a multitude of processes for the center and associated grants. These include all human resources processes, finance and financial analysis, reporting, business development, marketing, etc. This responsibility includes proactively identifying and taking up previously unidentified processes and issues that need to be managed.
    • Manage the creation, development, and growth of the Competitive Sustainability Center in the Saunders College of Business, with responsibility for its success and the success of related grants.
    • Manage the development and delivery of training curriculum by RIT and by partners; recruiting, training, and supervising personnel, fundraising, recruiting trainees and students, and marketing and sales activities including website and social media presence, overseeing on-campus events, and other activities as appropriate. This includes the creation and delivery of effective circular-economy curriculum and the necessary network to facilitate circular-economy implementation.
    • Lead the financial management of a portfolio of grants/projects for the PI which includes records management, budget management, financial analysis, monthly reconciliations, pro-card management, procurement responsibilities, and preparing journal entries as required to accurately report grant spending. Act as liaison with Sponsored Programs Accounting to ensure compliance with institutional and sponsor policies.
    • Plan and manage events in support of projects. These may be large-scale event including hundreds or thousands of participants.
    • Recruit faculty and external partners as needed for grants/research opportunities for the Competitive Sustainability Center, while targeting grants of $1M or more.
    • Other duties as assigned

    Minimum Qualifications
    Education/Experience:
    Minimum of 4 years experiencewith an advanced degree OR minimum 6 years with bachelors in an administrative position, preferably in an academic or research environment with demonstrated financial competence in budget management and projections, competence at managing groups and coordinating with both internal and external partners to achieve desired results, and creative problem-solving.

    • Be able to articulate capabilities of RIT to granting agencies

    • Must be able to manage data and have the ability to learn RIT systems and new software quickly
    • Have budgeting and budget management experience
