Recommends changes and/or additions to programs that reflect the changing needs of employees. Being a Wellness Program Administrator creates employee communications that encourage participation in wellness activities and health screening programs. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Additionally, Wellness Program Administrator typically reports to a supervisor. Backcountry Wellness is an eating disorder treatment program founded with the mission of bridging comprehensive recovery with the demands of real life. Our treatment philosophy embraces compassion and understanding, safety and nurturing, and a focus on family involvement to equip our patients with the tools to make lasting changes within their lives. Backcountry Wellness creates custom programs for children, adolescents and adults who live with Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating, Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake, Orthorexia, and Other Specific Feeding and Eating Disorders (OSFED).
Job Summary:
The Registered Dietitian (RD) plays a central role in eating disorder treatment and takes on full responsibility for all dietary services throughout the treatment process. The therapeutic treatment team uses recommendations from the RD to sculpt appropriate meal plans and generate a healthy trajectory for nutrition, weight maintenance and ultimately a successful increase in weight over the course of the patient’s treatment. Formal documentation will also be required to conduct proper nutritional assessments over the course of treatment. In addition, the RD will connect directly with patients and patient families to express the most effective ways to tailor a diet that improves health and wellness both during the patient’s time in the treatment and after they have returned home.
