Wellness Program Consultant assists an organization in designing wellness programs that promote healthy employee behaviors. Helps develop and implement wellness initiatives that educate and encourage employees on achieving personal health goals. Being a Wellness Program Consultant analyzes the effectiveness and utilization of wellness programs and recommends changes to improve outcomes and employee satisfaction. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty or in a related area. Additionally, Wellness Program Consultant typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Wellness Program Consultant work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Summary of Job Description:
This position will help create awareness, motivation, and the tools necessary to help individuals at the program develop and maintain a well-rounded, healthy lifestyle. The wellness consultant will complete an initial assessment of each members’ health and will monitor their weight and general measurements through ongoing assessments. Wellness Specialist will collaborate with the members and treatment team to create an individualized Wellness goal tied in with their treatment plan. The Wellness Specialist will provide tools and resources to support goal attainment. This person will also be responsible for facilitating group activities and individual sessions.
