Wellness Program Manager designs and implements wellness and work-life programs and policies to build a positive and appealing company culture that will enhance employee engagement, facilitate recruiting, and support productivity improvements. Partners with insurers, healthcare providers, and vendors to introduce wellbeing awareness with on-site health events, classes, assessments/screenings, and information resources. Being a Wellness Program Manager develops and implements work-life programs to provide employees with flexible work arrangements, financial planning, family/child care resources, transportation, memberships, discounts, and educational opportunities. Collects and analyzes information about employment trends and employee workplace needs by conducting surveys or feedback sessions. Additionally, Wellness Program Manager may manage on-site fitness facilities. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Wellness Program Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Wellness Program Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Our mission is to improve life by delivering excellence in health, fitness, and wellness management.   Position Purpose/General Summary: The purpose of the Wellness Operations Manager is to provide leadership and supervision to center team members in achieving the overall client organizational strategic direction and goals through efficient and effective delivery of services to members and guests of the center. They are to work collaboratively with all center management teams to assure consistent provision of services and care is achieved with Power Wellness support, collaboration and coordination. The Wellness Operations Manager will provide defined policies and procedures and staff training to ensure that centers are compliant in achieving quality metrics as they relate to medical integration and virtual programming that meet Power Wellness standards. Consistently evaluate quality metrics and program outcomes to provide continued support to the centers and growth of the programs. Qualifications: (Required education, experience, licensure/certification and required skills and abilities) Extremely high emotional intelligence: able to motivate staff in a virtual environment. Education background in human biomechanics, training, and fitness programming. Proven experience in coaching and training staff to achieve fitness revenue and participation outcomes. Educational background in multiple fitness disciplines, including weightlifting, cardio health, and correcting imbalances. Complete company provided CPR/AED certification within 90 days of hire. Demonstratable inter-personal and communication skills and the ability to work with team members in a positive, service-based manner. Ability to multi-task and maintain a controlled and professional demeanor with a high level of organizational skills and efficiency. Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university in a health-related, exercise science, kinesiology, or physical education major required. Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience required. Experience with supervising remote employees. Travel required (average 30%). Sales Experience preferred. Advanced strength and conditioning certification preferred. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Work collaboratively with Marketing, Sales, and center teams to promote both revenue and participant growth for MyFitRx and Virtual Programming. Collaborate with Power Wellness home office departments (such as Purchasing, Marketing, Sales, IT and Human Resources) in the standardization and unification of policies, procedures, and practices related to the operations of Medical Integration and Virtual Programming. Work collaboratively with the medical integration department to ensure that all programming and processes are defined, adhered to and communicated in a consistent manner. Provide support to all Wellness Navigators and Medical Integration Coordinators. Provide leadership and supervision to the remote fitness coaching department. Respond to member and client feedback with a high level of professionalism, demonstrate and provide customer service standards for all associates, and intervene with service recovery if conflicts and/or issues occur. Assist with the management of medically integrated program processes at all centers, including but not limited to, defining and evaluating policies and procedures, ensuring that standard exercise prescription protocols are followed, and that defined quality metrics are met. Contribute to employee growth through training and participate in projects that promote and advance the progress of medical integration and virtual programming, and Power Wellness in the fitness industry. Ensure that all Wellness Navigators and Medical Integration Coordinators are providing participant summary reports for the referring healthcare provider and Power Wellness. Provide ongoing training to staff to ensure that all participants in medically-integrated programs and remote health and fitness coaching are provided an individual exercise program based on assessment results and appropriate communication with referral source. Maintain knowledge of the daily operations within the centers and assist with all medical integration and virtual programming marketing as it relates to member communication, promotion of services and retention. Be proficient in all core business software as it relates to job duties and responsibilities including Compete, Power Force, MOVE, and Volt. Provide regular feedback, write, and conduct interim and annual performance reviews. Conduct regularly scheduled staff meetings. Participate in management meetings and all-team meetings. Manage department work schedules and timecards. Responsible for hiring and training all Remote Fitness Coaches The ability to be flexible and accommodating as it relates to center hours, work schedules and scheduling appointments for prospects and members.
