Wellness Program Manager designs and implements wellness and work-life programs and policies to build a positive and appealing company culture that will enhance employee engagement, facilitate recruiting, and support productivity improvements. Partners with insurers, healthcare providers, and vendors to introduce wellbeing awareness with on-site health events, classes, assessments/screenings, and information resources. Being a Wellness Program Manager develops and implements work-life programs to provide employees with flexible work arrangements, financial planning, family/child care resources, transportation, memberships, discounts, and educational opportunities. Collects and analyzes information about employment trends and employee workplace needs by conducting surveys or feedback sessions. Additionally, Wellness Program Manager may manage on-site fitness facilities. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Wellness Program Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED (Required)
Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
Minimum of one year experience in healthcare preferably with mental health and substance abuse population.
Essential Job Functions:
Completes case management treatment plan within the first 48hrs of a client admittance
Coordinates with program specific primary therapists regarding adjunct therapy issues
Coordinate interdepartmentally to facilitate clients going to approved medical appointments
Submits any and all necessary paperwork to preserve employment and assist clients applying for both disability and FMLA
Begin correspondence with any legal contacts: probation, courts, and Judicial assistants to allow clients to make informed decisions regarding discharge planning. Attempt to prevent any further legal stress or charges while in treatment.
Based on clinical recommendations and approval set up appropriate aftercare plans specific to the client’s needs. Coordinating with: referral sources, IOP programs, psychiatrists, and individual therapists to convey all appropriate information.
Attend daily staff meetings
Attend weekly discharge planning meetings
Communicate any issues to supervisor
Follows Infection guidelines at all times
Completes and forwards copy of Incident Reports and any other staff/risk issues immediately to director
Attend all mandatory In-services
Follow ethical guidelines in accordance with the state of Tennessee.
Demonstrates adaptability and flexibility to changes in the work environment
Completes admission documentation in a timely manner.
Perform other duties as requested.
