Job Description
Nevada State University (NSU) invites applications for the position of Student Wellness Manager. The Student Wellness Manager will focus on promoting holistic student wellness through providing early support and follow-up for complex situations involving students of concern and manages resources relevant to Student Wellness services. In addition, the Student Wellness Manager will develop and lead programs, trainings, and workshops for faculty, staff, and students that support holistic student development and success.

Primary Responsibilities
Overall program management of Student Wellness:

Case Management - providing direct support and case management for students referred to the Student Wellness Team or who seek services.

Develop and manage outreach and/or trainings to the campus community about student wellness and the resources available.

Oversees the campus food pantry and manages inventory, requests donations, and otherwise ensures it has appropriate items available.

Develop and maintain relationships with referral resources (e.g. - community social services agencies) within the local community; facilitate relationships with off-campus agencies and resources to connect students to long-term support.

Manage content development and promotion of NSU Student Wellness webpage and social media.

Serve as leader of the CARE team and member of BIT (Behavior Intervention Team).

Budgetary responsibilities.

Coordinate, track, and report student wellness outreach events.
- Prepares reports, statistics, assessments, evaluations, etc. documenting Student Wellness services usage.

Serve as a representative of Student Wellness on campus and community-based committees.
Required Qualifications:
-
Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Rehab Counseling, or closely related field.

3-5 years of experience working in higher education setting.

Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

Demonstrated experience in case management and resource support/coordination.

Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship (NSU does not sponsor employment-related visas).

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Rehab Counseling, or closely related field.

Bilingual fluency (English/Spanish).

Demonstrated experience developing and implementing training/workshops for key stakeholders.
Salary & Benefits
Budgeted salary for this position is $50,000. Nevada State University offers excellent benefits, including 17.50% retirement match, 24 annual leave days, beginning balance of 30 sick leave days, 12 paid holidays, educational benefits, and three health insurance plans that can be supplemented with flexible spending accounts or health savings accounts.
