Wellness Program Manager designs and implements wellness and work-life programs and policies to build a positive and appealing company culture that will enhance employee engagement, facilitate recruiting, and support productivity improvements. Partners with insurers, healthcare providers, and vendors to introduce wellbeing awareness with on-site health events, classes, assessments/screenings, and information resources. Being a Wellness Program Manager develops and implements work-life programs to provide employees with flexible work arrangements, financial planning, family/child care resources, transportation, memberships, discounts, and educational opportunities. Collects and analyzes information about employment trends and employee workplace needs by conducting surveys or feedback sessions. Additionally, Wellness Program Manager may manage on-site fitness facilities. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Wellness Program Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Wellness Program Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Food Service Manager

  • STATEMENT OF THE JOB: Under the overall supervision of the Early Childhood Director and the direct supervision of the Center Manager. Perform related duties to assure compliance in nutrition and food service areas. Perform duties related to maintaining a clean facility and playground. Work as a teacher aide in classrooms when needed.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    1. Maintain a professional attitude at all times with staff, parents, volunteers and children.
    2. Responsible for daily preparation of all meals, including infant food and formula preparation for sites with infants and toddlers, and clean-up of dishes and utensils.
    3. Ensure USDA Child and Adult Care Food Program requirements are followed.
    4. Ensure menu substitutions are made as deemed necessary for children’s allergies with the assistance of the Nutrition Coordinator and/or Nutrition Consultant.
    5. Maintain an organized and sanitary kitchen, including proper storage of food and supplies.
    6. Complete accurate nutrition reports, such as but not limited to menu production records, temperature logs, daily participation, etc.
    7. Document and maintain accurate records of inventory including food received, use dates and food service utensil count.
    8. Place food orders through designated food vendor. Submit requisitions for approval when necessary to purchase form other sources.
    9. Responsible for transportation of food to designated site(s) if applicable.
    10. Obtaining and maintain the ServSafe Certification.
    11. Responsible for wearing “Non-skid footwear” while working in the kitchen.” Cut-resistant gloves must be worn when using cutting tools, knives, etc. in the kitchen.
    12. Assist in obtaining and documenting In-Kind (Non-Federal Match) for parent and community activities.
    13. Responsible for data management in designated nutrition and food service areas.
    14. Assist in the avoidance or appearance of fraud relating to nutrition and food service.
    15. Work cooperatively with all classroom / center staff.

    Requirements

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    1. Educational Requirements:
    • High school diploma or GED.

    1. Experience Requirements:
    • Two years of experience in food service.

    1. Physical Requirements:
    • Able to lift food containers and possess the physical capabilities necessary to clean the kitchen area.
    • Must pass tuberculosis screening annually and initial health examination within three months of employment.
    • Valid driver’s license, access to transportation with liability insurance and willing to use vehicle for Agency related travel.
    • Must be able to travel out of area overnight to attend training.
    • Bilingual (E/S) is a plus, to communicate in the primary language of the families served.
    • Able to hear and communicate orally with children and adults.
    • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance and peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
    • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

    1. Skill Requirements:
    • Ability to read, write and perform mathematical calculations.

    1. Personal Traits:
    • Be in sympathy with the concepts of the Head Start Program.
    • Able to delegate responsibilities.
    • Able to keep confidential information without inappropriately divulging it
    • Have planning and organizational abilities.
    • Able to make decisions and work without continual close supervision.
