Wellness Program Manager designs and implements wellness and work-life programs and policies to build a positive and appealing company culture that will enhance employee engagement, facilitate recruiting, and support productivity improvements. Partners with insurers, healthcare providers, and vendors to introduce wellbeing awareness with on-site health events, classes, assessments/screenings, and information resources. Being a Wellness Program Manager develops and implements work-life programs to provide employees with flexible work arrangements, financial planning, family/child care resources, transportation, memberships, discounts, and educational opportunities. Collects and analyzes information about employment trends and employee workplace needs by conducting surveys or feedback sessions. Additionally, Wellness Program Manager may manage on-site fitness facilities. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Wellness Program Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Wellness Program Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Description: The chief manager of programming at Reno Bike Project. The Programs Manager is responsible for the organization's consistent achievement of its mission through program objectives. Primary duties fall into the following areas

    Schedule: 40-hours per week, during and after school hours, Monday through Friday and some weekends.

    Primary Duties:

    Program Development:

    • Provide leadership in development of RBP’s adult and youth programming including the Biggest Little Commuter Program, Major Taylor Program, FutureCycle Program, Adult Education/Workshops, Membership, Volunteer Coordination, and Outreach Events.
    • Ensure that programming represents and achieves RBP’s mission and vision.
    • Research and develop feasible new programming possibilities.
    • Maintain a working knowledge of, and respond to significant developments in, the environment surrounding RBP and its mission.
    • Work with staff to ensure that programs are executed successfully and align with the organizations mission and vision.
    • Quarterly goal planning and achievement.
    • Public relations including press releases and marketing
    • Grant writing and reporting. Quarterly fundraising community appeals.
    • Managing direct reports for weekly workshops, FutureCycle, Major Taylor Program and Bicycle Repair Class.
    • Maintaining the membership program.

    Program Execution

    • Create, adapt, update, track, report, and ensure delivery of all programmatic elements.
    • Creating and maintaining program budgets
    • Sustain & cultivate partner relationships.
    • Consistent outreach & follow up to members, volunteers, program participants, donors, and event attendees.
    • Work with staff to recruit, orient, & train volunteers.
    • Plan, publicize, stage, ensure execution, track expenses, and report on events including but not limited to Pancake Feed, Outreach/Tabling, Community Rides, Freewheels for Kids, Member & Volunteer Appreciation Party, Staff Holiday Party, Tri-Lab, Burning Man Pop-Up and the RBP Anniversary/Birthday.
    • Maintain accurate event & program supplies inventories.
    • Responsible for event & program materials storage, maintenance, and transportation.
    • Communicate with shop staff and to ensure program needs are met.
    • Work with staff and volunteers to ensure consistent weekly offerings
    • Website maintenance.
    • Donation and membership database maintenance.
    • Administrative tasks including new hire paperwork and insurance enrollment.
    • Assist with additional RBP tasks on an incidental basis.
    • Volunteer coordination.

    Communication:

    • Advocate in support of the RBP and its vision to agencies, organizations, and the public.
    • Serve as primary point of contact for all inquiries relating to programs and events.
    • Publicize RBP’s activities, events, programs, and goals including larger media plans and original content.
    • Be an active member of the Truckee Meadows Bicycle Alliance (TMBA) committee for Bike Week, to the extent that their goals and duties align with RBP’s.
    • Effectively and continually communicate regarding the status of programming with Executive Director including finance, volunteer/staff levels, and developments.
    • Social media management including Facebook and Instagram. Posting 4 - 5 posts per week, planning and scheduling media plans, responding to messages and comments.
    • Reading and responding to public comments on review sites including Google and Yelp.
    • Monitoring and replying to RBP email in addition to employee email.
    • Posting new job openings and monitoring Indeed.
    • Drafting and sending monthly newsletters.
    • Ensuring marketing materials are on brand.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in related field, or 2 years non-profit experience in program management
    • Experience supervising staff and/or volunteers
    • Experience with and enthusiasm for serving at-risk populations.
    • Ability to successfully balance and prioritize multiple, competing tasks and goals.
    • Business writing or grant writing and budgeting experience.
    • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite and Google Docs, experience with Adobe Creative Suite a plus.
    • Familiarity with basic bicycle maintenance mechanics preferred.
    • Customer service and/or supervisory experience preferred.
    • Maintain a current and valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
    • Must be able to pass a background check.
    • Preference given to Spanish speakers.

    Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

    Pay: $24.00 per hour
