The Tissue Culture Lab Manager is part of the well-coordinated Cultivation team and is responsible for overseeing day-to-day functions of the tissue culture lab for Cultivation; managing all lab associates; ensuring all processes, SOPs, training requirements, schedules, policies, and procedures are followed, and ensure the Cultivation goals are met. He or she will lead the tissue culture lab in culturing cannabis plants in an aseptic environment for commercial production and managing the Curio Wellness genetics portfolio. The ideal candidate will excel as a team member within a tightly controlled, state regulated system and adhere to timelines and SOPs. The Lab Manager must also focus on the safety of employees and maintain a clean facility and lab. This person is responsible for ensuring that all products are produced to Curio’s best-in-class standards, while assuring appropriate levels of inventory are produced in the most cost-effective manner and in full compliance with all State and Federal regulations. This person will be responsible for the documentation, ordering, and receiving of all inventory and products, maintaining facility compliance, and cleanliness. They will manage all members of the laboratory team while reporting to the Director of Cultivation and work closely with other Managers and Directors to execute the company’s overall strategy.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree (BA, BS) in Biological Sciences, preferably plant science/biology, of four (4) years of equivalent job-related experience. MS in Science, Plant Science or Biology welcome.
