Summary/ObjectiveThe Wire Cutter position is responsible for fulfilling all wire orders.
Essential Functions- Thoroughly examine order to accurately determine appropriate size reel and type, size and color of wire needed to complete order.
- Correctly measure wire, load wire on machine and operate all machinery in a safe manner that is in compliance with company safety standards.
- Utilizing company software to manage accuracy of quantity on hand, wire lengths, and Bin location.
- Properly label all completed wire cuts with applicable information, including customer label.
- Carefully unload empty reels and reload new reels onto machine.
- Maintain organization and housekeeping of wire room area.
- Restock and replenish wire on wire cutting racks.
- Verify accuracy of receiving documents with actual physical material brought to department by receiving associates.
- Answer phone calls that come through the wire room in a courteous, polite and professional manner.
- Performing additional assignments per supervisors direction.

Supervisory ResponsibilityThe Wire Cutter position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Working conditionsWork EnvironmentThis position works in a warehouse setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, and standard warehouse equipment such as hand trucks, box cutters and tape dispensers.
Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee must have the ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time. Ability to utilize a computer keyboard, computer monitor, and telephone. Ability to bend, climb, push, and pull, including the ability to maneuver at heights and in tight or small places. Ability to routinely lift, carry, and otherwise transport work-related materials that frequently weigh up to 50 lbs. and that may occasionally weigh in excess of 75 lbs.
Position Type and Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. The employee must work 40 hours each week to maintain full-time status.
This position may require overtime to complete wire cutting and wire management.
Education and Experience- One or more years of prior wire cutting experience.
- Forklift certified required.
- High School diploma required.
