Summary:
The Project Manager will scope, implement, and start-up growth capital and/or operations derived projects. This job is responsible for helping Energy Transfer meet its commercially driven capital growth objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Project Manager is responsible for meeting the project scope, budget, and schedule for gas processing and treating projects that include: Amine/Dehy/Cryo, NGL fractionation, NGL export terminals, and Alternative Energy to name a few.
· Implement entire project cycle for growth capital projects including: scope and design development, AFE preparation and submittals, material procurement, execution and construction oversite, and project completion. · Provide project direction to project team members including project controls, engineering design, ROW, legal, environmental, supply chain, construction, etc.
· Work with (and provide guidance to) the Construction Group members in construction and inspection activities.
· Provide timely and accurate reporting to project stakeholders including: Commercial Development, Operations, and Executive Management
· Take part in PSM activities for growth projects and the development and implementation of PSM work including: Design reviews, PHA’s, MOC’s, training, etc.
· Work with design and process engineers to develop projects that adhere to the Company engineering standards, code compliance, safety requirements, and other accepted industry engineering practices.
· Proactively seeks opportunities to broaden and deepen project management knowledge base and proficiencies.
· Provide guidance and training to less experienced project engineers, to help develop their project engineering and project management skills.
Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:
· Bachelor’s in Engineering Discipline (ChemE or ME preferred but not required)
· Previous experience in natural gas treating and processing industry
· 5 years combined process engineering, operations, and/or project experience
· Working knowledge with Microsoft Products and Engineering Programs
Working Conditions:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
· Normal office working conditions in ET offices downtown Houston, Texas
· Overnight travel is required, when necessary to manage projects.
· Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings as required for project execution. May include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
