Wire Transfer Manager jobs in Washington, DC

Description

 John Marshall Bank is looking for a Wire Transfer Specialist who will work to established bank policies and procedures, performing a variety of duties with a primary focus on processing all incoming and outgoing wire transfer requests including domestic, international, incoming and outgoing.

In this role you will:

• Review and process incoming and outgoing wire transfer requests, including domestic and international wire transfers.
• Troubleshoot and provide support internally for any wire transfer related inquiries.
• Perform daily reconciliation of wire GL and cash in-process GL account.
• Maintain electronic copies and logs of any wire exceptions and wire returns
• Assist the Department in gathering and preparing the requested documentation for periodic audits
• Provide support to Deposit Operations duties as required to include serving as a back-up for any Deposit Operations GL related reconcilements.
• Responsible for monitoring the Loomis commercial customer deposit and notifying the appropriate branch for posting
• Responsible for contacting Loomis and or FED cash room for resolving any branch cash shipment related issues
• Responsible for mailing Customer daily Notices
• Ability to identify patterns in wires for potential fraud, potential money laundering activities, or potential account takeovers.
• Assist the Fraud Department in the resolution and recovery of fraudulent wire transfers.
• Assist the Wire transfer Specialist II in contacting the OFAC hotline for any potential OFAC hits that would require additional verification.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Required:

• A high school degree or equivalent
• At least one year of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience
• Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Possess a solid understanding of wire transfer and ACH processing, compliance, corporate policies and procedures, and knowledge of federal rules and regulations.

Preferred: 

• Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Banking, Finance or Accounting
• Knowledge of ACH rules - Regulation E, Uniform Commercial Code Article 4, Bank Secrecy Act wire travel rules and Feline operations Knowledge of NACHA rules
