Women's Athletics Director directs all facets of a university/college's women's athletic program, including intramural and intercollegiate sports. Manages the entire women's coaching staff. Being a Women's Athletics Director schedules use of facilities, transportation, and sporting events. Also responsible for fundraising, publicity, ticket pricing and distribution, and purchase of new equipment. Additionally, Women's Athletics Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Women's Athletics Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     Job Summary and Qualifications

    • Manages Labor and Delivery, Gyn Post-Partum (Mom/Baby), Women’s Services Float Pool, Antepartum/Nurse Practitioners, Women’s Surgical Unit, LDRP – Pre-Admissions, Lactation Services, Maternity Education, Birth Certificates, Maternal-Fetal Transport, and Fetal Health Clinic
    • Provides nursing leadership for assessment, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care of assigned area(s) with twenty-four (24) hour accountability
    • Collaborates with physicians and other departments to meet patient and family needs
    • Manages resources in a fiscally responsible manner

    What qualifications you will need:


    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required. Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) Preferred.
    • Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation. Certification in area of specialty preferred
    • Ability to achieve and then maintain BCLS certification is required.
    • Five years clinical nursing experience required, prefer experience in area of specialty that will be managed. Ten years clinical nursing preferred.
    • Two years supervisory or charge nurse experience required. Five years supervisory experience preferred.
