Our Patient Care Coordinator role is an integral part of our administrative team at our busy pelvic health physical therapy clinic in Torrance, CA. Our clinical team of physical therapists is growing and we need an additional Patient Care Coordinator to help us coordinate all the new referrals that are being sent over to our clinic.

The purpose of this role is to manage all new patient interactions for the company for all locations, in a caring, concerned, validating manner from initial phone call all the way to completion of their first evaluation and scheduling out their entire plan of care. 

Patients are scheduled in a timely manner, all insurance information is taken and verified within 48 hours, patients are explained their financial responsibility over the phone prior to the first visit, they are emailed the entire patient intake paperwork and it is confirmed that has been received 48 hours prior to their visit, and a patient reminder via text the day before their appointment.

Daily duties include:
speaking with new referrals when they call to set up an appt
taking all their important information, including insurance details
verifying their insurance benefits and reviewing with each patient
scheduling patient's initial evaluation and follow up visits
assisting with requesting authorization for more visits if needed
assisting patients with gaining physician signed referrals as needed
communicating with reception team at two locations 
coordinating any communication needed between patient, any part of admin team and clinical team
working with google workplace, google sheets, google docs, slack, texting phone system, EMR
