Tribe Athletics CrossFit Coach

Title: Part Time CrossFit Coach

Location: Los Alamitos, CA

Reports to: Director of CrossFit, Operations Manager and Owners

Job Summary

As a coach at Tribe Athletics you will be responsible for effectively leading CrossFit classes with the support and guidance of the Director of CrossFit and owners. You should be able to coach any level of athlete, from beginner to advanced athletes and/or competitor. We are looking for someone who demonstrates our values, fits in our community and helps it grow.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Run CrossFit classes ranging from 5-15 people
• Demonstrate proper form and technique
• Ensure classes are effective, safe and fun
• Offer additional support to help athletes achieve their fitness goals
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with current athletes and convert potential athletes
• Attend coaches meetings
• Participate in Tribe events
• Contribute to keeping our space clean and and usable by following our Standard Operating Procedures
• Current standard first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and automated external defibrillation (AED) certifications.
• Adhere to Tribe Athletics policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• 2 years of CrossFit or functional fitness training as an athlete
• Minimum CrossFit Level 1 certification, preference will be given for additional qualifications such as CrossFit Level 2, CrossFit course certifications and CPR Certification
• Ability to connect with athletes and build community
• Ability to motivate others and implement new ideas
• Excellent verbal and written skills

Pay and Benefits

• $18-$23/class
• Free membership and unlimited access to Tribe Athletics facility
• Option to do personal training

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 – 8 per week
