Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     Summary:

    Reporting to the Chief Prevention and Recovery Officer (CPRO), the Director of the Residential Services for Women and Children will be responsible for the operational success of the Santa Fe Recovery Center’s services for women and children. The Director will ensure seamless team management and development, program delivery, and quality control and evaluation. In addition to managing the day-to-day operations, the Director of Residential Services must also maintain a learning environment focused on building and maintaining cultural proficiency, recruiting, developing and retaining a quality team. The Director will manage a growing staff and increased impact of services and Evidence-Based Practices (EBPs) specifically designed for women and their children in recovery and beyond.
     

    Duties and Responsibilities of the Director of Services – Women & Children: (Included but not limited to) You'll report to the Chief Prevention and Recovery Officer (CPRO) and:


    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Leadership:

    • Cultivate existing relationships with grantors with the goal of ensuring service quality, programmatic sustainability, and service expansion.
    • Develop and implement strategies that will maximize the impact of services on the lives of clients and within the communities the Center serves.

    Team Management and Development:

    • Develop and implement a system to evaluate the skill, experience, and professional development needs of all staff.
    • Implement a professional development program to address employee experience and skill gaps.
    • Work with staff to develop objective performance measurements in alignment with the Center’s overall strategic aims and values across all sites, to ensure consistent, high-quality evaluation and goal setting for all team members.
    • Instill a sense of accountability among team members by modeling tight oversight of individual and organization performance standards.

    Program Operational Management:

    • Responsible for operations at SFRC residential services at Santa Fe’s facility for women and children, including but not limited to; client grievances, milieu support, staff and client resources support, leading facility tours, etc. 
    • Establish and refine multidisciplinary and cross-departmental workflow operations that facilitate effective programming across a continuum of care, including coordination with admissions, outpatient services, and step-down services and community supports.
    • Responsible for identifying, developing, and maintaining community relationships through strategic partnerships and outreach efforts. 
    • Responsible for the day-to-day operations of all substance use disorder service lines in a person-centered, best practice-focused environment consistent with ASAM criteria
    • Knowledge of and ability to utilize evidence-based practices and clinical practice guidelines appropriately and ability to guide staff in using these tools.
    • Ability to deal effectively with individuals or groups representing widely divergent backgrounds, interests, and points of view.
    • Ability to translate management goals and objectives into well-coordinated and controlled work operations.
    • Develop and maintain the annual budgets as they apply to the SFRC’s services, including oversight and approval of spending at the program.
    • Ability to establish and monitor production and performance priorities and standards.
    • Ability to analyze organizational and operational problems and to develop and implement solutions that result in the sound operation of the program.
    • Participate, coordinate and perform in-service training in areas related to the improvement of service delivery to clients and external stakeholders
    • Participate in multiple committee efforts 
    • Responsible for the regulatory compliance and positive audit results of all service lines reviewed by funders, government regulators, and CARF or other accreditation bodies.
    • Responsible for regulatory compliance and of Grants and Contracted services, in addition to strategic programmatic implementation, to include childcare services.
    • Ensure the development of program policies and procedures which further the goals and objectives of the agency and the program.
    • Ensure that an environment is created, which is supportive, safe, and appropriately structured for individuals seeking treatment and looking to enter recovery.
    • Attend to all state licensing guidelines and respond to requests for information
    • Other duties as assigned

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

    1. Proficient in using technology as a management reporting tool and experience working with information technology staff to develop and implement program evaluation systems
    2. Strong project management skills managing complex, multifaceted projects resulting in measurable successes and program growth
    3. Experience having worked with a high-performance, collaborative, constructive peer group
    4. Strength in hiring, recruiting, managing, developing, coaching, and retaining individuals and teams, empowering them to elevate their levels of responsibility, span-of-control and performance
    5. Deep understanding of and demonstrated leadership in staff engagement strategies, employee performance improvement plans, and corrective action policies
    6. Demonstrated results in managing through complex systems and proven experience negotiating win-win agreements
    7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with exceptional attention to details
    8. Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and a commitment to and passion for the Center’s mission
    9. Must be computer literate in order to effectively meet requirements for use of Electronic Health Record systems and other electronic platforms.

    Education and Experience:

    1. Minimum of a BA/BS required. Master’s Degree in Social Work or related field preferred
    2. At least 10 years of progressive experience with at least three of those in a team management role
    3. Demonstrated success developing and evaluating program models, and selecting and successfully operationalizing innovative programs
    4. Demonstrated success in growing program size and scope
    5. Must have and maintain a current, valid NM Driver’s License. Must have and maintain a clean driving record, as well as auto insurance.
    6. Bi-lingual/Bi-cultural preferred (English/Spanish).
