Women's Athletics Director directs all facets of a university/college's women's athletic program, including intramural and intercollegiate sports. Manages the entire women's coaching staff. Being a Women's Athletics Director schedules use of facilities, transportation, and sporting events. Also responsible for fundraising, publicity, ticket pricing and distribution, and purchase of new equipment. Additionally, Women's Athletics Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Women's Athletics Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.   • The Assistant Coach of Women's Basketball will help foster a distinctive culture in competitive athletics that commissions student-athletes to impact the world for Christ. Areas of support might include recruitment, camp organization, scouting, practice instruction and weight training. This position is a full-time, (2080 annual hours) exempt position that reports to the Head Coach of Women's Basketball.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • BA degree required; Masters preferred.
    • Qualified applicant must be a born-again Christian with a personal commitment to Jesus Christ.
    • Qualified applicant must agree with and be willing to abide by Cedarville University's Doctrinal Statement , Community Covenant , and General Workplace Standards
    • Previous coaching experience preferred at college level
    • Ability to communicate and interact effectively with coaches, student-athletes, parents and others
    • Demonstrated Ability to lead and disciple student-athletes in their Christian faith
    • Knowledge of NCAA DI or DII preferred either as athlete or coach
    • Self-motivated with initiative and work ethic
    • Ability to work with limited supervision
    • Demonstrated willingness to seek/accept direct supervision as well as respect productive feedback from colleagues and others.
