Wood Machine Operator sets-up and operates a wood machine. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Being a Wood Machine Operator may have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty with 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Wood Machine Operator relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. 1st Shift: M-Th, 6:00am - 4:30pm
2nd Shift: M-Th, 4:00pm - 2:30am (($1.00 shift differential after training completed)
Description:
The Machine Operator will be responsible for performing various tasks including set up, operating, monitoring, troubleshooting and performing preventive maintenance on assigned machines. The Machine Operator will work in a small group setting (2- 7 other employees). The Machine Operator will also be responsible for inspecting parts to ensure they meet specifications, making adjustments, or tool changes as necessary to maintain quality specifications. Will train. Day shift and Evening shift openings.
