Wood Machine Operator sets-up and operates a wood machine. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Being a Wood Machine Operator may have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty with 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Wood Machine Operator relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Summary
Assists in managing inventory and fulfilling customer orders. Operates forklift in order to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move engineered wood products as order requires or supervisor assigns. Operates chain saw and other tools to cut and build packages of engineered wood products to customer order specifications. Typical working hours for this position are Monday through Friday from 12:30 p.m. until 10:00 p.m.
