Wood Machine Operator sets-up and operates a wood machine. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Being a Wood Machine Operator may have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty with 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Wood Machine Operator relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Setup, programming, and operation of CNC Swiss style STAR and TSUGAMI machines. Equipment capabilities including setups, troubleshooting and daily maintenance. Maintain proper cutting conditions on machines. Ability to read and interpret blueprint drawings, and CAD prints. Responsible for inspecting parts and maintaining the proper condition of measuring instrument. Must have a strong work ethic with the ability to work independently.
Qualifications: 5-8 years of experience with CNC Swiss, Star/Tsugami machines and programming on Fanuc controls
