Wood Machine Operator sets-up and operates a wood machine. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Being a Wood Machine Operator may have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty with 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Wood Machine Operator relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Production operator Tasks & Duties (What YYou'llDo)- Carry out production, inspection, packaging and machine operation duties
- Operate manual machinery and oversee automated machines
- Run test products to ensure quality and accuracy of production meets the set standard
- Keep a daily activity log of production notes (including totals, defects, etc.)
- Follow state health and safety regulations by wearing required equipment and protection as needed
Production operator Shift Info- Night Shift 3pm -1:30am
- Monday - Thursday with optional Friday Overtime
Production operator Qualifications (Requirements / Skills)
- Ability to understand the basic mechanics and operations of the steam equipment
- Understanding of the safety requirements necessary including use of PPE and other safety related equipment.
- Ability to occasionally land/or move up to 75lbs.
- Frequently required to stand, walk or sit for prolonged period of time.
- GED / High School Diploma
- Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
- Able to pass a background check.
- Able to work in the US.
