SUMMARY

The Finisher resurfaces welded assemblies and stainless-steel parts by using deburring, grinding, graining, and polishing equipment to complete parts NSF standards for food service equipment. Work schedule is 4x10 Monday through Thursday from 8am - 4:30pm

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate large belt sander, pedestal buffer wheel, media blaster, acid-based electrochemical weld cleaning, 2-ton overhead hoist
• Use hand tools including air powered and electric grinders and drum sanders
• Grind welds to blend surfaces, grain and deburr.
• Use production software to track work time and report completed quantities accurately.
• Use appropriate PPE and observe safe practices as required
• Clean and organize work area
• Other duties as assigned.

Key Qualifications:

• Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent.
• Requires 0 - 2 years of experience in the field.
• Commitment to company values.
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field.
• Experience with welding or related metalworking skills preferred
• Proficient in the use of power and hand tools
• Ability to read blueprints and perform basic math, including understanding fractions.
• Ability to select proper tools for each task and identify metal grain.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Problem solving skills.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

Working Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee works indoors on the factory floor. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. Hearing protection is recommended in the work area.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and required standing, walking, bending, gripping, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift or move items over 50 pounds. This job's specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
