  • JOB SUMMARY:

    Responsible for fielding incoming calls from existing customers, accurately quoting prices, scheduling deliveries, interacting with production, and providing quality customer service. Position serves as central point of contact to suppliers and customers.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Listen to and resolve customer complaints regarding services and products
    • Prepare sales and inventory reports
    • Remain current on new products, and product offerings of company and competitors
    • Develop smooth, efficient and accurate relationships with Outside Sales and Production Support
    • Attend company meetings to exchange product information, learn about new products and share best practices
    • Other duties as assigned

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

    Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or other related curriculum preferred or two (2) years’ experience in customer service. Strong communication skills, both oral and written. Must be proficient with computers and have a strong mathematical background.

    LANGUAGE SKILLS:

    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

    Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

    REASONING ABILITY:

    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    The primary body positions for this job are standing, walking and sitting with light to medium body weight/force to lift, carry, push and/or pull objects or materials. Hand-arm and foot-leg controls are essential. The employee will be required to occasionally climb, crawl, squat, kneel, bend, reach, handle, finger, feel, talk and hear. The following vision abilities are required: near and far acuity, depth perception, sharp focusing, color distinction, and peripheral sight.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:

    Work includes exposure to heavy equipment and machinery where failure to observe proper safety regulations and practice could result in serious personal injury. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. Noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.

    TECHNICAL SKILLS:

    Thorough knowledge of computer systems to include ERP, internet (including but not limited to e-mail) as well as word, database, spreadsheet, graphic, presentation and communication processing programs.
