Wood Technologist gathers and analyzes data of wood properties to determine best use of wood. Requires a high school diploma with 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Being a Wood Technologist has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Additionally, Wood Technologist works under immediate supervision. Typically reports to forester. MAINTENANCE
Maintain and coordinate all maintenance and welding of machinery and equipment to include repairs, installation and preventative maintenance.
Order or coordinate with supervisor needed material/parts.
Maintain constant equipment operations in order to meet production goals.
Perform all aspects of industrial maintenance with emphasis on belts, chains,
Sprockets and vibrating conveyors.
Specific Duties By Area:
Maintenance and welding.
Operations.
Performing daily preventative maintenance.
Procedures. Lock Out Tag Out and safety rules and regulations.
