Being a Wood Technologist has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Additionally, Wood Technologist works under immediate supervision. Typically reports to forester. Skills/Requirements:
o 2 years experience operating traditional woodworking equipment.
o Can read mechanical drawings, and read and follow work instructions.
o Capable of reading a ruler to 1/64”
o Perform basic math
o Lift up to 30 lbs continuously, heavier amounts on occasion.
