Millwork Estimator

Established in 1992, Artistry in Wood is a millwork and custom cabinetry shop in Syracuse, NY. We are a family owned and run company and take pride in what we manufacture.

Artistry in Wood is looking for a millwork estimator with 1-3 years of experience using estimating software, excel, and organizational tools in a small, yet supportive group environment to create take-offs, pricing, and budgetary proposals.

Duties/Responsibilities for the Millwork Estimator:

*Ability to read architectural and millwork shop drawings.

*Knowledge of tools, hardware, lumber, and construction.

*Contact customers to follow up on bid process.

*Extensive research and pricing of materials.

*Ability to calculate take offs based on drawings.

*1-3 years of experience.

*Excellent oral and written communication skills.

*Proficient in Excel.

*Must prioritize work, multi-task and self-motivate.

*Must have your own form of transportation to and from the office.

*CAD experience a plus.

Qualifications for the Millwork Estimator:

*1-3 years of experience in millwork estimating.

*Ability to read blue prints.

*Stable work history & reliable work references.

*Great communication and reading skills (English).

*Friendly, courteous & reliable self-starter.

Job Type:

*Full Time – Monday-Thursday 7AM-5:30PM and Friday 7AM-12PM.

*Compensation based upon experience.
