Position Summary:

We are in search of a Lead Machine Operator, with a strong emphasis on machine maintenance, to join our dynamic team. This role is critical for ensuring the seamless operation of our production lines, maintaining equipment to the highest standards, and contributing to the efficient production of high-quality cosmetics.

Responsibilities

• Operate and oversee the operation of production machinery, ensuring optimal performance and product quality.
• Diagnose and resolve issues across mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance alongside minor carpentry and plumbing repairs.
• Perform regular maintenance checks and coordinate more complex maintenance activities to prevent machine downtime and production delays.
• Preparation and setup of machinery for production runs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues swiftly, minimizing impact on production.
• Document machine performance issues, maintenance activities, and repair timelines to aid in continuous improvement efforts.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
• Contribute to the optimization of production processes, aiming for increased efficiency and reduced waste.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, showcasing mechanical and electrical proficiency.
• Vocational training or trade school is a plus.
• Technical certification in industrial maintenance, or related field preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical problems with precision and efficiency.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, capable of coordinating with multiple departments.
• Knowledge of safety standards and regulations relevant to machinery operation and maintenance.
• Proficient in using tools and equipment necessary for machine maintenance.

Bonus Points if you've worked in the beauty or personal care industry and are familiar with the equipment used in this operation - filling machines, mixing tanks, label machines, etc

This is an on-site position so if you do not live within driving distance of Woodstock, this probably is not the right fit for you.
