Job Title: Social Studies Teacher (Anticipated Global Studies)

Qualifications: NYS Certification in Secondary Social Studies (Preferred)

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university

Master’s Degree preferred but not required

Purpose Statement: Do you want to become part of something special?Bishop Ludden Jr/Sr High School, an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, is seeking an energetic, qualified social studies teacher for the 2024-25 school year. As an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, opportunities to teach in the IB program may arise.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Anticipated teaching assignment of Global Studies I and II

· Integrate with other subject area curriculum through partnerships with teachers.

· Manage student behavior for the purpose of providing a safe and stimulating learning environment.

· Cooperate and collaborate with school administration to meet school objectives.

· Develop a nurturing environment that emphasizes a love of learning.

· Be able to assess student performance and provide constructive feedback.

· Supervise students in various environments
