Partners with insurers, healthcare providers, and vendors to introduce wellbeing awareness with on-site health events, classes, assessments/screenings, and information resources. Being a Work/Life Program Manager develops and implements work-life programs to provide employees with flexible work arrangements, financial planning, family/child care resources, transportation, memberships, discounts, and educational opportunities. Collects and analyzes information about employment trends and employee workplace needs by conducting surveys or feedback sessions. Torch Technologies, a 100% employee-owned company is seeking an experienced Program Manager with systems engineering and task management experience to fill an opening in the Technology Development Business Unit. Applicant will be responsible for the management of complex and/or high-risk technical programs on a variety of contract types. Duties will include management of all phases of project execution within a multidisciplinary team engaged in the development of advanced, integrated hardware and software solutions for DoD, NASA, and commercial applications. Programs to managed could range from non-recurring prototype engineering projects to low-rate production fabrication efforts. The applicant would also be tasked with P&L considerations and business development with both current and/or new customers.
Applicant should have a Bachelor's Degree at minimum with an advanced degree in engineering or business preferred. A minimum of 8 years of program related experience and prior management experience in the DOD field. A successful candidate will possess a clear understanding and working experience in the following areas:
A well-suited candidate will be self-motivated, well organized, with good interpersonal skills, good communication skills (oral and written) and be capable of multi-tasking in a changing environment.
Position requires that candidate meet requirements to obtain a final security clearance to access classified information. Inability to obtain a security clearance will result in candidate being ineligible for this position.
Previous experience with Aviation or Robotics related programs is preferred.
