Job Description
The Program Manager is responsible for the leadership and daily operational success of the ART Inc programs. This person will oversee the Arts Science & Leadership Academy: afterschool, family and me, summer camp, and all other programs inside of The Romain Arts & Culture Center. This job occasionally requires travel by automobile for event support.
Responsibilities also include, but are not limited to recruiting, training, managing and evaluating a team of teaching artists, volunteers, interns (high school and college) and executing the program’s curriculum and design in a proficient manner in order to meet contractual and grant obligations while maintaining a safe and healthy environment in accordance with various regulations. Additionally, the Program Manager is responsible for the program development and managing relations with schools and program partners.

Requirements
The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, if not meticulous, and should be a self-starter and have excellent communication and customer service skills. This individual must be able to effectively manage a portfolio of recurring daily tasks, annual projects, and last-minute assignments. A Bachelor’s Degree or 2-5 years work experience is required. Experience with data entry and Microsoft Excel is required.

Supervisor Relationship:

Work Environment:
This position is on-site, meaning that work generally operates within an office environment and involves interaction with drop-in guests, volunteers, and other staff. This role routinely uses standard office systems such as computers, phones, photocopiers and filing cabinets. In instances of inclement weather or required quarantine, this position could possibly work remotely.

Mental and Physical Requirements:
Physical effort is light, with lifting or carrying limited to 25 pounds intermittently as well as walking up and down stairs. Work will require extended use of a computer keyboard and monitor.
