Workers Compensation Administrator II administers the workers' compensation program for an organization. Implements a consistent process for recording, investigating, and reporting workers' compensation claims complying with laws and regulations. Being a Workers Compensation Administrator II prepares and submits required reporting and documentation to OSHA, state and local agencies, and other entities. Monitors all claims and liaises with the employees, managers, insurance representatives, union representatives, medical staff, and attorneys involved with a case. Additionally, Workers Compensation Administrator II communicates case status details and necessary information to involved parties, including notifications of hearings, outcomes, return to work, or restrictions. Performs periodic reviews of overall cases to identify trends. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of all regulations and laws for reporting workers' compensation. May coordinate or assist with safety programs focused on injury prevention or facilitate accommodations for workers. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Workers Compensation Administrator II occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. We provide a full range of medical services to veterans through the operations of CBOCs, tailored to meet the specific needs of local VA medical centers. Our comprehensive set of services includes primary care, diagnostics, laboratory, telehealth, behavioral health, and more. 

    As a Clinic Administrator, you will provide prescribed medical treatment and personal care services to patients with diseases and injuries seeking treatment in the clinic, as directed by physician or mid-level provider. ?You will collaborate with the core PACT Team (Primary Care Provider, RN and Medical Assistant) and expanded PACT Team including family/caregiver, VA, and community-based services involved in developing the patient care plan.? 

    Position Summary

    The Clinic Administrator is responsible for all operational aspects of their individual CBOC. This position is significantly tactical with the day-to-day operations of the clinic.

    Core Responsibilities

    • Manage day to day clinic operations, ensure clinical quality expectations are met, provide exceptional customer service and partner with the Clinic Medical Director. 
    • Ensure all colleagues provide excellent customer service to each veteran, both in person and over the phone, as well as to fellow colleagues and clinic visitors.
    • Managetheclinic’sfinancialperformancewithspecificemphasisonrevenuegrowththrough enrollment and non-personnel cost containment. 
    • Manage growth strategy of new enrollees to the clinic and expand market penetration in the clinic’s catchment area. 
    • Proactively manage veteran enrollment and retention.
    • Maintain staffing levels consistent with veteran enrollment, contract terms, and to ensure maximum efficiency.
    • Review/analyze reports and provide updates to leadership on clinical quality metrics, financial reports, staffing levels and other relevant information. 
    • Emphasize attracting, coaching, mentoring, and retaining talent through excellent communication, training, enforcing key competencies and performance management, when required.
    • Develop and maintain a positive, collaborative working relationship with our VA partners.
    • Innovate, embrace, and support new initiatives, whether clinical or operational, and execute on key strategic initiatives that drive the success of the Valor business.

    Requirements

    Qualifications

    •  Two years healthcare management experience required; government healthcare environment preferred.
    •  Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, both in person and over the phone.
    •  Ability to manage, both up and down.
    •  Energetic and optimistic demeanor.
    •  Strong service mentality and a focus on achieving all aspects of defined service standards.
    •  Proficient in computer applications such as Word and Excel.
    •  Strong organizational skills.
    •  Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks and work on multiple projects/tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment without direct supervision.
    •  Ability to identify areas of opportunity, develop a plan of action to improve, implement and evaluate plan effectively.
    •  Ability to resolve colleague, client, and patient issues in an effective and timely manner.
    •  Current certification in Basic Life Support.
    •  This is considered a safety sensitive position.
