Workers Compensation Administrator II administers the workers' compensation program for an organization. Implements a consistent process for recording, investigating, and reporting workers' compensation claims complying with laws and regulations. Being a Workers Compensation Administrator II prepares and submits required reporting and documentation to OSHA, state and local agencies, and other entities. Monitors all claims and liaises with the employees, managers, insurance representatives, union representatives, medical staff, and attorneys involved with a case. Additionally, Workers Compensation Administrator II communicates case status details and necessary information to involved parties, including notifications of hearings, outcomes, return to work, or restrictions. Performs periodic reviews of overall cases to identify trends. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of all regulations and laws for reporting workers' compensation. May coordinate or assist with safety programs focused on injury prevention or facilitate accommodations for workers. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. Qualifications
· Must be a member and in good standing with the NC State Bar or able to waive in.
· Preferred litigation experience.
· Preferred working knowledge of workers’ compensation.

Responsibilities
· Represent the interests of the clients at all stages of their claim. This will involve all aspects of client communication, including in person meetings, telephone conferences, and through the stages of litigation.
· Review and analyze medical evidence, medical records, legal documents, statutes and case law.
· Engage in legal writing and research including motions and responses, briefs, and appeals.
· Litigate claims at all stages of the case, including administrative hearings, full evidentiary hearings, and appeals. Will engage in trial advocacy including taking testimony of lay and expert witnesses, conducting discovery, mediating claims, and guiding clients through the litigation process.
· Mentor and work with all members of the workers’ compensation team.
· Extensive training on Workers’ compensation law and practice prior to obtaining a case load. Once you are fully trained, expect to have multiple cases in litigation at any time. This position is litigation heavy and client facing. While you will have a large team of staff to rely on, you will be responsible for meeting internal goals for advancing your claims.
