Implements all matters of the program, including claim investigations, settlements, and litigation. Being a Workers' Compensation Manager establishes standards and procedures for all matters relating to workers' compensation. Responsible for finding an insurance provider that meets organizational goals of employee coverage and cost effectiveness. Additionally, Workers' Compensation Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of unit/department. The Workers' Compensation Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. What To Expect
The Claims Assistant - WC is primarily responsible for providing administrative support to the workers’ compensation claims compliance team and adjusters. This role is also responsible for responding to requests for general claims information. This is a full-time, hourly non-exempt position with standard business hours of Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm, with some flexibility at manager’s discretion.
