Workers' Compensation Manager is responsible for developing, maintaining, and managing a company's workers' compensation program. Implements all matters of the program, including claim investigations, settlements, and litigation. Being a Workers' Compensation Manager establishes standards and procedures for all matters relating to workers' compensation. Responsible for finding an insurance provider that meets organizational goals of employee coverage and cost effectiveness. Additionally, Workers' Compensation Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of unit/department. The Workers' Compensation Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. To be a Workers' Compensation Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     R L Carriers has an immediate opportunity for a Workers' Compensation/Injury Recovery Specialist in our Wilmington, OH. service center. The Workers' Compensation/Injury Recovery Specialist coordinates the monitoring and administration of the workers’ compensation program nationwide.

     

    Responsibilities:

    •  Claim data entry
    •  Maintaining timely investigations
    • Employee outreach
    • Communication with professional resource, such as attorneys, managers and health care providers; working with third party administrators to coordinate claim allowance, treatment, and financials

     

    Requirements:

    • Must be computer literate with an intermediate level of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
    • Prior experience in worker’s compensation, law office or paralegal preferred.
    • Must be professional, energetic and have excellent attendance.
    • Must have excellent time management skills and able to prioritize work on a daily basis.
    • Must be willing to perform a wide variety of tasks and alter schedule as needed.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • High level of confidentiality.
