George Sink, P.A. Injury Lawyers is looking for a motivated and experienced legal assistant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate must have the ability to manage a large case load in a fast-paced environment.

As a Legal Assistant you are responsible for providing support to attorneys assisting with all aspects personal injury and worker's compensation law.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Receives and returns client's calls, faxes and emails within 24 hours.
• Reviews intake documents to ensure all information necessary to open a case has been gathered and opens the file.
• Research coverage for workers' compensation claims.
• Responsible for generating required workers' compensation forms and documents through our case management system, transcribing dictation, revising or drafting documents as directed by supervising attorneys including, but not limited to, briefs, APAs, correspondence, demands, settlement documents and correspondence in a timely fashion.
• Process and submit client mileage and prescription reimbursement forms.
• Calls adjusters to follow-up for client mileage and TTD checks.
• Maintain custody of the physical file. File and update records, correspondence and file documents in an orderly and organized manner per established office procedures.
• Manage the scheduling of attorney calendars for client meetings, doctor meetings, IMEs, Vocational and Psych evaluations, depositions, mediations, hearings, etc. and preparing notification correspondence to all parties.
• Follow up and procure IME and FCE reports prior to scheduling mediations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2-5 years experience in a similar administrative role, preferably as a legal assistant or case manager
• Experience using a case management system, preferably Needles or Litify
• Strong Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Strong ability to multi-task and strong organizational skills
• Positive attitude and ability to work in a team environment.

Office hours: 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday to Friday

Pay is based off of experience.

Pay: $33,280.00 - $40,250.00 per year
